Community participation is crucial for physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing. Community inclusion encourages a community-focused culture that builds excitement and creates better networks among people living with disabilities and breaks down stereotypes.
Assistance with Social and Community Participation (Support Category 1.04) is a funded support category that you may find in your NDIS plan, under Core Supports. Further development through social participation encourages a sense of responsibility, provides a sense of independence, builds social skills and can lead to higher employability.
Support types that you may be able to access under the Assistance with Social and Community Participation in your NDIS Plan include experiences that aim to improve your ability to interact and participate with your surrounding community.
Through our partners and our affiliation with different community organisations, we will make sure that you are a part of the latest events happening in town.
